The Most Likeable Part of Your Old Droog? You Don’t Gotta Like Him.

When likes, favorites, and fire emojis are treated as guaranteed sales metrics in record label boardrooms, a musician not concerned with likeability is an anomaly. Your Old Droog (YOD) is unconcerned though, and why shouldn’t he be?

YOD released his third project (first stand alone) of 2021 in June: Time. Time stretches the limits of story-telling using flows, rhymes, and a healthy dose of humor to craft an untouchable, and thematically tight forty-five minutes of rap that stays true to itself for every second in the way only an independent artist’s album can.

Time Album Artwork

With 7 projects out since 2019, it couldn’t be more clear that Droog is content making exactly the music he wants to make, and working with the artists he wants to work with regardless of what the industry says an artist needs to do to become a hot commodity.

He’s chosen to be prolific with our without mainstream popularity, and while you don’t have to like it, you don’t have a choice but to respect it.

Time as an album is a cohesive narrative, enjoy it from the first track to the last wherever you listen to your music.
